TV units and stands with proper media storage, from floating wall-mounted designs that keep the floor clear to 178 cm units built for televisions up to 75 inches. Styles cover industrial, farmhouse, fluted and high-gloss LED.

TV unit styles we stock

  • Floating and wall-mounted units — 105 cm to 180 cm, with no legs to clean around.
  • RGB LED TV stands — colour-changing backlighting built into the unit.
  • Units with power outlets — integrated sockets so consoles and boxes plug in behind.
  • Drawer and cupboard storage — up to 5 drawers, plus fluted and chevron door fronts. 35 of the 84 units put a count in the title, and 9 of those count tiers rather than shelves — see what the count in a product title actually counts.
  • Cable-managed designs — routing holes that keep leads out of sight. 46 of our 84 TV units mention cable management and 32 state an actual routing hole; the rest have a solid back.
  • Finishes — rustic brown, oak, walnut, black, white and light green.

How to choose a TV unit

Buy wider than the television, not the same width — around 20 cm clear on each side looks balanced and gives soundbars somewhere to sit. The "suitable for TVs up to N inches" line on any TV unit describes how much weight the top can carry, not how wide the unit is, so work in centimetres: multiply the screen's diagonal by 2.22 to get its real width, then add 20 cm. Our TV stand size guide has the full conversion table and the three measurements to take first.

Check the stated maximum TV size and the top-surface load capacity — many listings quote only an overall figure that includes every shelf and drawer — and measure the height of your set-top boxes against the open shelf openings, which are often shallower than they look. Floating units need a solid wall and the right fixings; on plasterboard, fix into studs or use dedicated plasterboard anchors rated above the load. Of our 20 wall-mounted TV units only two state that any fixing is included, because the correct fixing depends on your wall — our wall fixings guide works out how much leverage each unit puts on the wall and which anchors take it.

TV unit FAQs

How wide should a TV stand be for a 65 inch TV?

A 65 inch television is roughly 145 cm wide, so look at units of 165 cm or more for a balanced look. The same sum works for any size — see the TV stand size guide for 32 to 85 inch screens.

Can floating TV units hold a heavy television?

Yes, when fixed correctly into a solid wall or studs. Each unit lists a maximum load — include the TV, soundbar and anything stored inside. A few of our wall-mounted units are media storage designed to sit beneath a wall-mounted screen rather than to carry one; those say so in the description, so read it before ordering.

Do the LED lights change colour?

The RGB models do, with a remote for colour and brightness. Non-LED units are listed without it.
